Micronas signed on April 1, 2009, an agreement to sell product lines of its Consumer division to Trident Microsystems, Inc., headquartered in Santa Clara, California, USA. Trident plans to acquire the frame-rate-converter (FRC-family), demodulator (DRX-family), and audio product lines (MSP, MAP, and UACB product families) from Micronas.

Micronas–Trident transaction completed

Micronas (SIX Swiss Exchange: MASN) successfully closed on May 14, 2009, the sale of parts of its Consumer division, as announced on April 1, 2009, to Trident Microsystems (NASDAQ: TRID).
