Micronas offers a comprehensive solution package for the VGC 5969B. The Linux-like software architecture reduces development effort and time. Hardware and software are performance-optimized around a fast real-time operating system (RTOS). Micronas makes it easy to use by providing a complete FPD TV software package including a suite of high-level drivers and applications. The high-level drivers facilitate the software development and offer full control of picture parameters. This also includes Dynamic Picture Signal Improvement (DPSI) where motion, noise, and histogram of an input signal are measured. These parameters are used to automatically control peaking, Temporal Noise Reduction (TNR), Dynamic Contrast Enhancement (DCE), and 3-D comb filter, resulting in naturally looking pictures on any flat-panel display.Various real-time tasks such as letterbox detection and film-mode detection are integrated in the video driver. Only a few lines of code are required to realize formerly complex applications, such as fast dynamic scaling (zoom/fisheye).
